Parish Council Decision: The Council has not objection to this Application subject to there being an agreed spoil disposal plan for the large amount of spoil that will need to be removed from the site to enable the construction of the dwelling and proposed landscaping. Similarly, there should be an agreed disposal plan for the large amount of waste materials created by the demolition of the extensive outbuildings in order to protect the landscape, flora and fauna and so as to not damage the existing water courses.

Additional Details to Full Planning Permission to build a replacement annex to provide ancillary accommodation to main dwelling

Parish Council Meeting: 14th May 2012

Parish Council Decision: The Council has never disputed that there was an outbuilding previously located on this site; and would probably not object to a suitably sized and design replacement. However, it is the Council opinion that the additional data does nothing to demonstrate that the original building was lawfully used as domestic accommodation ancillary to the main house. As such, the new data does nothing to change the original comments submitted by this Council.

Parish Council Decision: The Council objects to the Application.
The Council has no reason to object to the principle of the proposed development, but is of the opinion that three features of the proposed design are unacceptable in their present form.
1. The Council considers that the proposed flat roof to the extension on the south west elevation is not in keeping with the rest of the development as it creates a very obvious square box in this elevation, which is clearly visible from the road, and does not satisfy DNPA Policies COR 4, DMD 5 & DMD 24.
2. The Council considers that it would be more appropriate for the roof of the north east extension to be finished with slate recovered from the main roof as this is a common roofing material within the Park and the re-use of this material would conserve existing building material processed energy as recommended in the DNPA Design Guidance Page 59. The Council considers that the present proposal does not satisfy DNPA Policies COR 4 & DMD 5.
3. The Council considers that the fenestration of the upper floor of the south east elevation of the north east extension does not fit with the existing and new proposed fenestration elsewhere on the build. It is noted that the north west elevation of the same extension had fenestration in keeping with the rest of the dwelling; as such the design does not satisfy DMD Policies DMD 5 & DMD 24
