Parish Council Decision: Whilst the Parish Council are supportive of a development on this site comprising social housing, we have some concerns regarding the current application. Firstly, we feel that the proposed access to the site is unsuitable given that the road into it is effectively a single track road due to the lack of off road parking on the existing development. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss (albeit limited) options with DNP and the applicant. Secondly, there is concern within the community that the sewage treatment plant doesn’t have the capacity to accommodate another 36 dwellings and there is nothing in the application to alleviate these concerns. We would want some assurance in the form of calculations or a report that the capacity exists. Finally, as the site is allocated for a development comprising at least 45% social housing, we would want this to be the minimum percentage actually delivered on completion of the development.
